Only Two Weeks Until We're Texans

Well, I guess we won't really be Texans but we'll be living there in two weeks at any rate. Although, I was born in Houston so maybe I'm already a Texan.

This weekend Casey, Colton and I drove down to Dallas to attend the Gospel for Asia Renewing Your Passion Conference and look for rent houses. The conference was great. It looked like there was about 900 people in attendance. I only got to attend a couple of the sessions since we were running around looking at houses and then I was taking care of Colton during some of the other time. But Casey got to go to alot of them, including the all night prayer session - which he said was really good and went by really fast.

Colton did really well on the trip. He hardly cried as we drug him all over the city looking at houses. Of course he had a couple of meltdowns in the evenings when we got back to the hotel, but that's to be expected.

On Sunday, we found a house we really liked. We were really glad to see it because we hadn't had any luck looking on Friday or Saturday. The house is much nicer and larger than other houses we looked at before and it costs less! It was definitely a blessing to find it. We were even able to negotiate a bit and get them to take off $50 a month on the rent. Woo Hoo!

The next couple of weeks are going to be pretty busy as we get things wrapped up in Oklahoma and pack up our house. We'll be moving down to Texas on July 26th. So if you're free that day and like moving stuff - you're welcome to come help us load the trucks! It will be a blast! :)

By the way, if anyone has a bed that's in decent shape that they'd like to get rid of, let me know. We want to put a bed in a guest room so that our Oklahoma homies can have a place to sleep when they come and see us.

I know I've been really bad about posting pictures of Colton lately. I promise I'll get better once we get settled and have the internet at home again. The picture above is of the rent house that we hope to be moving into on the 26th.
