It's the gingerbread, tinsel, and egg nog time of year!

Recently, Colton and I have been enjoying decorating, baking, and doing Thanksgiving and Christmas crafts. My nieces Samri and Elizabeth came to stay with me for a few days while Casey was out of town. We got our craft on and made Christmas ornaments with Modge Podge, baked and decorated gingerbread men, and made nativities.

Colton is very excited about Christmas. I think this will be the first year he really understands what it's all about. He likes to play with his little nativity people and seems especially interested in the wise men who followed the star. Today I overheard him telling his friend that Jesus died on the cross and came back to life three days later. It's cool to see the Bible stories starting to stick.

Elise is now crawling and babbling. She's says "mama," "baba," and "gaga." I'm not sure she knows what any of it means but we like to think she does. She's almost 8 months old and is a baby food fiend. She loves all the purees and eats about 3 jars a day.
