On Friday, Casey and I drove down to Texas. About noon, we toured the place I'm hoping to give birth at (it was really nice), and then in the evening we went to the Gospel for Asia staff Christmas party. The party was a potluck style gathering with some skits and singing. It was really fun to get to see everyone again. It made me look forward to getting down there that much more.
We stayed with a really sweet couple on Friday night. The four of us stayed up late Friday night playing Settlers of Catan. Then in the morning, our hostess made us banana pancakes. Yum!
Also occurring on Friday was the introduction of a brand new family member! As we were headed to Texas, Casey's sister went into labor. A few hours later, little Phoebe was born. I was bummed that we missed out on the "day of" happenings, but we did get to meet Phoebe on Saturday. She's so cute and little. I'm going to post a picture of her with Casey, once I get Casey's camera hooked up to the computer.
Then on Saturday, we also went to a party for Erin's 25th birthday at Cheesburger in Paradise. Happy Quarter of a Century, Erin!
We wrapped up the weekend watching a really great movie, V - the Original Miniseries. I highly recommend it to any Sci-Fi fans, or anyone who vaguely remembers the show from the 80s.
