1. Lizards. Lotsa lizards. In my house. I've counted four house geckos so far. It's kinda creepy. My mom thinks it's cool though and wants me to catch a couple to eat bugs in her house. If this is really gross to you and makes you never want to come and see us, that makes me sad. I really can't help the fact that geckos like to chill in my abode. Please accept me and my lizard compadres. They really are sort of cute and besides, they help eat #2 on my list.
2. Hopping spiders. I'm sure we actually have these in Oklahoma. But, since I saw two today, I thought I'd point them out. I tried to kill both of them, but they hopped to safety and out of my reach. They can hop pretty high, which like the presence of lizards in my home, is also rather creepy.
3. Driver's license procedures. When ordering your driver's license don't expect to get it that day as in Oklahoma. Yesterday, I went to the Dept. of Public Safety to get my Texas driver's license and was informed that I should receive it in the mail in about a month but no later than October. October? Seriously? I mean for the only state in the union that can fly their flag as high as the U.S. flag that's pretty dang slow. I guess folks from the landrun state (aka Oklahoma) know if you dilly dally too much somebody else might stick a flag through your car and claim it as their own.

The gecko's sound pretty okay...but the jumping spiders on the other hand! Yikes! You should definately contact your landlord to get somone out to spray for those creepy things! And I have to say that I was quite shocked here in WY too about the driver's liscence thing. At least Texas has a good excuse, what with so many people and such. We have 400,000 residents in the entire state and it's going to take up to six weeks to get my liscence in the mail? Ridiculous! I feel your pain!
This post was so funny that I was reading it out loud to Jason! I wouldn't mind the gheckos so much either . . . a lot of people have them as pets.
Our cat eats spiders. That's pretty much all she's good for since she's declawed.
