On Saturday, I really thought we were going to meet our sweet girl. I had contractions for about 6 hours that were 4-6 minutes apart. Eventually, I called my doctor and she said I should come in.
When we arrived at the hospital, they hooked me up to the fetal monitor and the monitor that checks contractions. Sure enough, I was having contractions around every 5 minutes. But, I wasn't dilated, so they recommended I head home and wait it out. She said she thought I was in early labor and would probably be back in the next 24 hours.
That night I continued to have some contractions and lots of cramping, but by by mid-afternoon Sunday, they'd tapered off substantially.
So, tomorrow I will go to the hospital at 7 a.m. to be induced. Since I've had a previous c-section my doctor wants me to deliver sometime between 40 and 41 weeks. Tomorrow, I will be 40 weeks and 5 days.
My prayer is that my body will respond well to the induction, and that I'll be able to avoid a c-section. But, if I do end up with a c-section, I'll still be thrilled to meet our little girl.
Please keep us all in your prayers!
