Sugar and Spice and ...

... lots of darling pink bows and onesies ... that's what little girls are made of!

I was blessed to have two showers celebrating the upcoming arrival of our baby girl.

The first was thrown by some girlfriends and the second by the ladies at GFA. Both were wonderful and so much fun!

Here are a few photos from the showers.

I can't remember if I've posted this before, but we are naming our little girl Elise Noelle. One meaning of the name Elise is "God's Promise," and Noelle means Christmas. So her name is a reminder of God keeping his promise and sending his son for us.

I think most of the baby-prep stuff, besides nitty-gritty cleaning, is complete. I've packed our hospital bag, washed and put away all her clothes and blankets, set up the pack and play in our room and pre-registered at the hospital.

Her room is pretty much ready too. We moved Colton into a "big boy" room a few months ago and then added some girly touches to his old room.

I also recently made some hair bows for Elise. If you know anything about me and my propensity to burn myself, then you can probably guess that me and the hot glue gun are not besties. But the blisters (four to be exact!) are healing, and I've got some fun bows to show for it.

Now all I need is the baby! At my ultrasound last week, I saw that Elise is head down (unlike her brother was) and weighs about 5 pounds 13 ounces.

I'm hoping to avoid another c-section this time around. Please pray I'll go into labor on my own and that everything will progress smoothly so that can happen.
