It's the ti-ime of the season when blood run hot...

It's another Texas summer, and temperatures are definitely creeping up. Fortunately, this year isn't quite as furnace-like as last summer. With a tiny infant, I hardly got out last year, but this year we go to the splash parks or our neighborhood pool to let the kids cool off.

Colton and Elise keep me pretty busy. Colton is beginning to be able to sight read a few words. The other day he came running up to me and said, "O - F - F, that spells off!" He had read it on the faucet. He can write his name although a couple letters still get swapped around. He can also do a little addition and count pretty well. Elise is starting to talk some. She says mama, dada, bubba, wa wa (for a drink), wow, woah, and nigh-nigh (for her nighttime lovie).

Elise is also a notorious daredevil. Whenever I drop her off in childcare at church or at the gym, they always report to me how brave she is and how she climbs on everything. She also loves to dance. Whenever Colton is watching Curious George, and the theme song comes on she always starts boogieing.  It's so cute.

Colton and Elise are getting to be buddies and play together more and more. She likes to grab him in a bear hug and listen to him laugh.

Here are some more recent photos of the fam and are "doings" over the past few months.
