Sleep . . . interrupted

From reading a couple of my blog buddies' posts today, it looks like this weekend was a rough one for getting enough sleep. I too experienced similar problems the last few days with a mean sore throat that kept me from sleeping soundly.

Casey ran out and bought me some Halls sore throat lozenges around midnight on Saturday, but they were only able to barely take the edge off. I'm hoping that my throat will be kinder to me tonight and not wake me up every thirty minutes demanding another drink of water.

Despite my debilitating illness, (what? can't I exaggerate a bit?) it was a good weekend. Casey and I went to the Arts Festival on Friday (which is where I suspect I contracted the bubonic plague.) Then on Saturday, Casey installed Colton's car seat in my car. Yay! I've also got my bag all packed for the hospital, Colton's clothes washed and his bassinet set up in our room. (If you haven't heard, we'll be staying here for the little guy's birth.)

I have my next doctor's appointment tomorrow. Unfortunately, I believe Colton is still head up, and on top of that I think his little butt is already engaging.

We've done the moxibustion a couple of times but not as consistently as I'd hoped. They weren't lying when they said it is really stinky, so we have to do it outside, preferably in junky clothes and right before a shower. All of those qualifiers make it somewhat inconvenient to do, but we're still planning to try it a few more times.

(Side note: Casey and I have made up a song about moxibustion. It has one word: moxibustion. It is awesome.)

illnesses are SO much more fun when exaggerated!!!

when my throat seems to hate the world, i use throat spray. its the nastiest thing around, but it makes sleep possible.

When I originally read "here" I thought, Oh my...they are having a home birth?! But then I remembered the booty-down situation and figured it out...
