In addition to lots of sanding and applying three coats of paint to get the snazzy crackled look, we also put on new knobs and fixed the slides on the bottom of the drawers to make them pull out easier.
I must say I'm pretty proud of us for completing this. I kind of feared that the paint cans might just sit out in the garage indefinetely and that Colton's furniture would always just be mismatched (Oh no! What a tragedy that would be!).
Maybe Casey and I are turning over a new 'handy-couple' leaf in our lives, and will frequently spend weekends together out in the garage tinkering. I'm sure Casey would love for me to become his Al Borland (Home Improvement). Only hopefully not as hairy . . . or as flannel-shirt wearing . . . or well maybe not Al Borland. But, I'm sure he'd like to have a drill-hander, drink-getter, sit-on-a-stool and chat partner. I'll keep you posted on how that goes.
Oh and after you check out the dresser project, take a gander at my sweet baby's mohawk. Rock n' roll.

I believe there might be some cause to consider chips and blocks. I would not be the Chip.
