Remember that song? What ever happened to Ricky Martin anyway? Hmmm. I'm not quite intrigued enough to Google it. Moving on...Well, I totally skipped out on an update last week. The week got away from me. I feel like I was busy, but of course now that it's over I can't remember with what.
I do recall that I took Colton to his first story time at the public library. The local library has a toddler story time with singing, reading, dancing and a bit of sign language. It's only 20 minutes and full of activities to keep the little guy's attention engaged. Oh, and it's free so that's a plus of course.
Colton was really cute this morning. He slept in really late for some reason, (maybe it was because he'd woken up in the middle of the night the three previous nights) so I went in to check on him to make sure he was okay. He was just laying in his bed quietly awake. He was in the best mood and snuggled with Casey in our bed for a while as I finished getting ready for church.
He's becoming so expressive and learning more and more words. He can't say too many himself but he understands a lot. He also tries to imitate words after I say them and is interested in knowing what everything is.
He's becoming more mechanically inclined as well. He can turn his floor fan on and off, climb stairs by himself, turn faucets on and off and disassemble coffee makers! That last one isn't encouraged.
I usually let Colton play with the plastic Tupperware and a few other items in the bottom kitchen cabinets. I guess I wasn't watching what he was doing closely enough yesterday because once he was done touching the coffee maker it actually took me a couple minutes to figure out how to put it back together again!

"and her skins the color mocha".......Colton's such a big boy! Love the library, we use to do story time. Ours is an hour and Sinclair doesn't know how to sit still :0)
