Thoughts on Moving

Last Wednesday, our family moved out of our rent house and into a house we bought. Moving is always a little bit crazy. You pack your stuff, assume you'll halfway remember that you put your baby's sheets in with some blown-glass fish, and you're off. Then, you arrive at your new place and unload boxes. Come baby's bedtime you're desperatley searching for that missing pair of sheets. The fishies ain't saying a word.

Same with the shower curtain rings, except I still haven't found the elusive box that houses them. Maybe I should summon my inner blown-glass fish or better yet, a ceramic turtle.

I've been up late the last few night trying to get the place in order. It's not there yet, but we're making progress.

We haven't gotten internet set up at the house yet (I'm at my mom's), but AT&T is suppossed to be coming tomorrow to hook us up.

The house closing went well, and Colton only sort of freaked out as we signed our one-millionth document, promised all our organs, a gallon of plasma and our second-born child in exchange for a set of keys.

Casey and I also got to meet several of our neighbors this weekend. There's a number of Asian/Indian families near us which I'm excited about. We had some really cool Pakistani neighbors in Edmond. Shout out to Lubna and Mahmood!

Well, I'm off to Home Depot to buy some nails to hang pictures. The ones I bought last week must be hiding with my shower curtain rings . . .

I'm glad the move went mostly well! I'm sure once you buy new nails you will find the ones you packed. That always seems to happen to me!

Congrats on the house purchase and move! I'm sure it's nice to know your roots are firmly planted for a bit. Enjoy!

I laugh every time I come over here. Love you! Can't wait to see the house.
