Last Night I Dreamed I Went To...

No, not Manderley for any Rebecca fans out there. Russia.

I have this reoccurring dream of going to Russia completely unprepared. In fact, I hardly ever get off the plane. I'm usually just at the airport shortly before my flight is suppossed to take off desperately trying to get things together before we depart.

Last night, my friend Erin and I were making the journey together. We both managed to have our tickets and passports with us, (this doesn't always happen in the dream) and we we're even admitted on the flight. But there was a problem, neither of us had packed a coat. I was really stressed about this because it was suppossed to be frigidly cold when we arrived...hello, it's Russia! Who doesn't pack a coat for Russia? Apparently me and Erin.

In a past Russia dream, I'd been all set to go and for some reason forgot to communicate my plans with Casey.

I think to me traveling to Russia must just seem like a daunting journey that one needs a lot of preparation for.

Yesterday, I was trying to get a lot done and felt a little behind so I think that's why I had my Russia dream.

Maybe if I ever get to go to Russia in real life, I'll actually manage to pack a coat and have a passport handy.

Haha... funny Summer. I love you and will go with you unprepared to Russia any day! :D

I had a dream last night that we had a Memorial High school orchestra reunion. And I was still first chair but I hadn't played in ten years and there was a new conductor who was making us play the violin with infants. Like, use our hands to make the infant's hands play the violin. I remember thinking in the dream, "This is ridiculous! How are we supposed to use these infants' hands to play the violin? I have never heard of this before!"

I have always wanted to go to Russia! I wish I had a reoccuring dream like that. . . well, maybe not the part about not having a coat...

Erin, your dream cracks me up! I'm really surprised though that you're not familiar with infant simulated orchestras. They're all the rage in Russia right now!

Yes, Rachael, having a coat would have made the dream infinitely more enjoyable!

Yeah Summer, I think I have heard that thing about infant simulated orchestras in Russia. Maybe that's what your dream was about, you just hadn't gotten to that part yet!

Haha... no I hadn't heard about them.

Your dream does kind of remind me of the real life story of when Ashlie and I went to Afghanistan. Our flight arrived in Kabul three hours late and no one from the guest house was there to pick us up. To make things worse, I realized that I had forgotten write down even a single emergency contact phone number in Afghanistan.

So we had to get in a cab with some random Afghan man who brought us to an internet cafe so I could get Holly's number. On the ride there I was thinking, "I hope he isn't kidnapping us." I was really relieved when we arrived at an internet cafe.

So, you may not want to choose me to go with you to Russia! Unless you are the one who writes down all the phone numbers.

Hmmm, interesting. You should really ask God to reveal anything He might be wanting to show you. NOt kidding. Could be gooooooood!
