What We're Up To

Elise is now almost 5 months. Recently, we let her have her first taste of solids. We're not starting them just yet, but I just wanted to see the cute look of surprise when she tasted "real" food for the first time. I mashed a tiny bit of banana and gave her a few spoonfuls. She really liked it and would've eaten more if I'd offered it.

About a week ago, she starting using her rolling skills to get across a room. She's also getting a little traction with an army crawl where she pushes off the ground with her feet and knees. So adorable!

She's been giggling more too which is so fun. Mostly, she just likes to watch everything going on around her.

Colton is such fun - he loves Elise and tries to play with her whenever he can.

He done great with potty training. He hasn't had any accidents in a long time and he often "takes care of business" without my prompting.

He loves learning and can talk in detail about topics ranging from combines cutting wheat to the cochlea sending messages to the brain. One of his favorite subjects - like many other 3 year old boys - is human digestion... He could go on and on. And often does. He frequently has us in stitches.

Casey is doing well. He just finished the latest Forgotten Christmas video. He created the storyboard, found the voice talent and worked with the graphics people to create a really cool video. I'm proud of him! The 2011 video will be up on the site soon.
