Yes, that's a really cheesy headline.Within the last few weeks, I've transitioned to checking out the majority of my DVDs from McDonald's. If you haven't heard about it, McDonald's now offers video rentals from these little Redbox Kiosks. It cost a dollar a night, and there are about 50 new releases to choose from. You just swipe your credit card, and then the machine spits out the DVD.
Apparently, McDonald's starting doing this on the east coast in 2003. It was a hit and now just 4 years later (smile) it's arrived in Oklahoma. In some other locations McDonald's also has little convenience store kiosks that sell things like aspirin or crackers. Maybe those will be coming soon.
If you want to find a Redbox near you, here's a list (compiled by About.com, not me):
- 14001 N Penn Ave
- 12216 N Penn Ave
- 2101 NW 23rd St
- 1535 NW 50th St
- 312 S Meridian Ave
- 3722 NW 39th St
- 401 S Macarthur Blvd
- 5850 NW 39th Expy
- 7010 NW 23rd St

If you have to get gas on Monday, Tuesday, Or Wednesday, you can also run inside 7-Eleven and check out a new release for 99 cents.
They have the red box DVD thing at the Albertson's in Norman, too... perhaps all local Albertsons?
