Aye, on September 19, (International Talk Like a Pirate Day) I set sail (or get on a plane) for Portland, Oregon for another work conference. I've never been to Oregon, so I'm excited to go, even if I won't get to leave the hotel too often. After the conference is over on Saturday night, Casey's aunt and mom (who will also be in Portland this week) are going to pick me up and take me to his aunt and uncle's house. We're going to have a dinner with the Oregon family members, and I'm going to talk to them about what Casey and I will be doing at GFA and how they can help. Then, they'll take me back to the airport Sunday morning for my flight out.
When I get back to Oklahoma on Sunday afternoon, I will be done with work travels for the foreseeable future. You can pray that I won't get too worn out this week! After being out of town five days last week and looking toward another five days this week, I'm afraid I may be all but spent at the end.
Savvy me maties? Aye, Aye.
