On Saturday night, Casey and I met our new neice for the first time at Will Roger Airport. Casey's sister, Carrie, and her husband, Brad, traveled to Ethiopia last week to pick up their new daughter from an orphanage.We all went to dinner at Zio's after meeting them at the airport. She was very tired because they'd been on planes for around 20 hours. But, she still had a smile for everyone and even played Casey in a game of Tic Tac Toe.
She is about seven years old and came to the states with just the clothes on her back. She is a little bit shy but also very affectionate and loving.
I'm so happy for my whole family to have this new little person to love. I can't wait to get to know my new neice and for her to call me auntie!
