I'm in Indianapolis

This week I'm in Indianapolis working at an Express conference. Right now, I'm on a very brief break from registration. It's been a good week so far. The crew flew in on Wednesday and most of us are leaving tomorrow. The weather here is really nice too. I hope Oklahoma's weather is behaving itself while I'm away.

I got to talk to someone from our conference about Gospel for Asia last night. We had a networking reception, and I started talking to one of our Express Personnel franchisees about what my department does. Then, he saw that I had a copy of Through Gates of Splendor by Elizabeth Elliot on the table, and that got us talking about missions. He knew all about the 10/40 window and had a number of friends serving there. I'd brought a Gospel for Asia brochure with me and gave it to him. He then gave me the names of a couple of churches in his area (including his) that he thought might be interested in supporting GFA missionaries. I also told him I'd send him a copy of Revolution in World Missions (the book that explains GFA's ministry). So, that was a pretty cool conversation that I wasn't expecting.

I'm back to the registration table now!
