Just Call Me Four Eyes Magee

Today, I had an appointment with an optometrist to have my eyes checked. Over the last few months, I’ve noticed my distance vision has been getting blurry. I wasn’t sure if it was related to the bun in the oven, or if I was just getting old. So, they tested my eyes on the little machine first. After the test was finished, the technician asked me if I was currently wearing glasses or contacts. When I said no, she said, “She (the doctor) will definitely be able to help you.”

When I asked the eye doctor if my vision changes might be caused by pregnancy, she said that could be the reason or it could just be that my vision is getting worse. If it’s pregnancy related, it’s caused by hormones, and it could get worse during the next few months, but then it would get better after the bambino is born. So, I’m hopeful that I may be able to return to clearer vision again one day.

But, until then I’ve ordered a pair of glasses. My work has pretty good vision insurance so I was able to get a cute pair for not too much money. I don’t think I will wear them all the time, just probably when I want to see clearly, which is only once every few days. I mean eyesight is pretty overrated, right?
