Today at Ross, I found this play kitchen for about half of what the brand normally sells for.It's so cute, and Colton loves it. It's wooden and painted in primary colors. It's only about a foot tall and a couple feet wide, so it doesn't take up much space.
I got a few plastic pots and some fake food to go with it, and Colton's been having a ball putting things in the oven, dropping dishes in the sink and hanging spatulas on the rack.

hen may not be the manliest toy but this is the 21st century, right? Besides, there's a greater likelihood of him needing to learn to cook a few meals than fight a big hairy monster. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for big hairy monster fighting too. But not until the boy's earned his keep by making me a zesty lasagna and a slice of cheesecake. :)
