Strangers in the Night . . . Exchanging Toasters

I promise not to make this blog Summer's official dream register, but I had another interesting one last night, so in lieu of anything else, here it is for your reading pleasure:

Enter the dream:
Casey and I have just moved into an apartment in a bad part of town. It's late at night, and we're unpacking boxes in the living room of our upstairs apartment. All of a sudden, someone's breaking into the apartment. I don't get a good look at the culprits, but I know they're a couple who live in our apartments. They burst in the door and quickly grab a few electronics and then run out.

A while later, I'm sitting by the apartment's front door messing with something on the floor. I hit my foot against the door, and it makes a knocking sound. Even though we've just been robbed, I decide to open the door to make sure it was really just my foot making the noise and not the burglars (good plan, huh?).

I crack the door a couple of inches only to discover the couple is waiting outside to rob us again. Oh man, Casey's not going to be happy with me for opening the door!

Once more, the couple comes rushing into our apartment. They head to the back of the living room where there's a toaster and a stereo sitting on a shelf. They grab them both, and then dash out the door again.

This time, however, I see the woman's face. I recognize her from somewhere, but I can't quite place it.

Exit the dream . . .
When I wake up, the woman's face is etched into my mind. Where do I know her from? Then it comes to me, I saw her on an episode of Moral Court three weeks ago! It was the first time I'd ever seen the show. Her case was about a disagreement between her and her husband. He thought she needed to be more sensitive to him after a recent injury, and she thought he needed to be more sensitive to her since she just had a baby.

Since she'd appeared in my dream, I decided to pray for her while I laid in bed. I prayed that she and her husband would work things out and be able to get along better.

Before posting this blog, I Googled the name of the show to find out more about it. I found out the show only ran from October 2000 to September 2001. I was praying about a problem some lady on TV had 6 or 7 years ago! Oh well, maybe she and her husband we're at it again. I guess it's not my concern, just so long as she stays away from my toasters and my dreams!

I like the posts about your dreams, you should keep them coming. They are funny and make me laugh. I didn't make on Sunday due to a bad earache...it was bad. It turned out to be a bad case of swimmers ear. I'll be there this next Sunday though.
