Well, I'd been stalling posting my recent news on my blog because I hadn't told my co-workers yet. But on Friday, I told my boss and a couple of co-workers the news, and by Monday the word had spread like wildfire.For those that haven't heard, I'm pregnant. I'm 7 1/2 weeks and expecting in late May. I found out about three weeks ago and saw the doctor last Monday. Casey and I got to see the baby and its heartbeat on an ultrasound. It was really cool. She even gave me some print outs of the baby's "first pictures."
I've been feeling pretty good - a little nauseous, really tired, bloated, emotional - but nothing compared to how some people feel. So, I'm thankful for that.
I'd planned on waiting until at least after my 10 week appointment to share the news up at work, but then on Friday I found out that one of my co-workers is also pregnant. She's due just a few days before me. So, when she told me that, I could help but share my news too. Then after I told her I felt like I needed to tell my boss so he wouldn't hear it from somebody else. From there, the word just spread really quickly.
The doctor said at my next appointment we'll be able to see the baby's arms and legs (maybe fingers and toes too!). You can pray that the little one will continue to grow and be healthy.
Also, I have to give a speech at an event on Thursday, so please pray that I'll do okay and won't be nervous.

Pregnancy really is fun -- quite annoying at times but it's a blessing to think about toting a little one around all day everyday! Can't wait until you (and Casey) can actually feel and SEE it move around!
Yay Summer! Big congrats to you and Casey!!!! I just now read your comment from a month ago on my blog... that's how often I check it. I've been posting blogs on my myspace page, but I may go back to posting on blogger. I don't know... I use facebook now so I've been posting notes on there, too.
