On Sunday, Casey and I had a Gospel for Asia booth at Edmond Christian Church's Missions Fair. It was fun to go back to our old church and see a lot of familiar faces. We got to talk to quite a few people about what we'll be doing as home team staff and had 6-7 people sign up saying they were interested in receiving more information about the work Casey and I will be doing with Gospel for Asia.ECC has really done a great job with their missions activities. The World Outreach Team is headed up by Steve Logan and he's gotten banners printed for all the ministries the church supports. He's also gotten a touch screen computer set up that lets people select and read about the church's different missions.
One funny thing happened on Sunday. As Casey and I were setting up our booth, I looked across the sanctuary and saw a banner for my friend Holly who lives in Central Asia. Then, I looked again and saw several of her family members standing around the booth. A moment later, I recognized a familiar laugh. It was my very good friend Tara! She'd tried to sneak into town (from Bartlesville) unnoticed but I caught her! It was fun to get to see her yesterday too. Even if she is a sneaky sneaker. (Love you Tara.)
