So, there are a number of series that Casey and I want to watch this fall. Some of them are available in the video stores - others aren't. Since renting entire series can get kind of expensive, I'm trying to decide if we should finally sign up for one of the online movie rentals.Today, I was talking to some of my co-workers and got opposing recommendations about who to use. One said Netflix is the best and the other prefers Blockbuster's online rental. Has anyone used either of these? What's your experience been?
For those who are curious, the series I want to watch are:
Season 3 of the Office - This summer, Casey and I watched Seasons 1 and 2 and got hooked. Season 3 came out on DVD just a couple of weeks ago and this weekend I went to three different video stores to try and rent it but it wasn't available (oh bother)! P.S. Dwight Schrute has a blog.
Battlestar Galactica - For Sci-Fi Nerds, this show is pretty awesome. Last year, Casey and I watched the original movie from the seventies (not so good) and then watched the recent mini-series (good). But, there's a whole show that airs on the Sci-Fi Network, and I've heard it's really good. No video stores carry it though! I guess there are just not enough geeks out there trying to rent this one.
Seasons 1-3 of Lost - Although, I've already seen every episode, I'm a huge fan and really want to refresh my memory before Season 4 airs in January. If anyone else is a Lostie, there's a cool blog that I like to read sometimes called Lost Easter Eggs. Caution: only read this blog if you are caught up on all shows - spoilers are everywhere!

I've checked out your link to the Lost blog before -- had some good stuff...The Heineckes are also Losties. Personally, I agree with Natalie about John Loc (the island John, not desperate real world John). And shouldn't Hurley have lost a few pounds by now?
i love lost, too!
and agree with the hurley comment, though he is still adorable.
On Hurley, remember that the Dharma Intiative is dropping lots of food on the island at a pretty regular clip, so even though he may be getting more exercise he's probably making up for it with lots of snacks.
GO with Blockbuster...we have really enjoyed it! LOVE JOHN!!!! Ain't a bad lookin' old guy if you ask me.
