Mountain View, Arkansas, Population: 2 fiddlers, a banjo player and Clovis McSkeeter

For pictures, see the post below.

Casey and I had a good time on our getaway to the Ozarks. Although, on the last day Casey did comment that he thinks we should only do "redneck" vacations every couple of years. This was after hearing one too many thick Arkansas twangs and seeing a few hundred cars too many parked in people's front yards.

The bed and breakfast we stayed at was really nice though. There was a claw foot tub and walk in shower in the bathroom and a fireplace in the bedroom. On the grounds, there was a large fishing pond and a number of walking trails. We also got to eat good food and catch up on our sleep which was great.

While we were in Mountain View we visited Blanchard Springs Caverns. At the caves, we went several feet underground and experienced a world that looked like an alien planet.

And of course, since we were in the folk music capital of the world, we caught some tunes too. On Saturday night, we went to a fundraiser for the local high school where 5 different folk bands played. Each time a band would play a fast song, a group of 10 or so different people would get up from the auditorium, rush to the stage and start clogging. It was pretty entertaining.

So why didn't you guys join in on the clogging? I see no pictures indicating that you joined in. Were you guys party poopers?
